Description

Hornady OAL Modified Case 7mm SAUM B7MMR

To function with Lock-N-Load Precision gauges, these casings have been specially adapted. They are attached to the gauges using a specific, thin thread, which guarantees that they stay square so they may be precisely aligned in the chamber of your gun. To provide the most accurate outcomes possible, the case's neck is secondarily designed to be completely spherical and opened just enough to let a bullet of standard diameter slide into the case mouth with ease.

Best Suited For

FAQs

Q: Can this modified case be fired?
No. It is strictly a measuring tool and must never be used as live ammunition.

Q: Will it work in all 7mm SAUM rifles?
Yes for standard chambers. Slight chamber variations will result in slightly different measurements—this is normal.

Q: Does it work in tight-neck chambers?
Not always. Modified cases may not function properly in tight-neck chambers.

Q: What tools are required to use it?

  • Hornady OAL Gauge
  • Calipers (preferably with a bullet comparator)

Q: Why use a factory modified case instead of DIY?
Factory cases provide better alignment, smoother bullet fit, and more consistent results than drilled/tapped cases.
