The precision and extraordinary long range performance of our new 6mm 110 grain HPBT (#1575) will be appreciated by shooters all around the world. With a sleek 27 caliber elongated ogive and a final meplat reduction operation (pointing), the ballistic coefficient is enhanced for better wind resistance and velocity retention. A unique bearing surface to ogive junction uses the same 1.5 degree angle usually found in many match rifle chamber throats to assure exact bullet to bore alignment.
MatchKing and Tipped MatchKing bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications, despite their worldwide reputation for record-breaking accuracy. Although MatchKing and Tipped MatchKing bullets are popular for varmint hunting, their design does not give the same consistent explosive expansion on varmints as their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz, or Varminter counterparts at equal velocities.
