Trim length is not critical, so you can skip all of the case measuring and trimming. It sizes your cartridge while also adding a factory-like crimp in one step. And because it crimps your bullets more firmly and consistently than any other die available from any other manufacturer, the result is ammo that chambers freely like factory loads. During the crimping operation, a carbide ring in the base resizes the cartridge. There is no need for lubrication.
